Spotlights on Inclusion: Working with Neurodivergent Students in Creative Disciplines

Workshop interativo para desenvolver práticas inclusivas e apoiar estudantes neurodivergentes nas disciplinas criativas do FilmEU

This interactive workshop is designed to help understand and build inclusive learning environments and equip staff with practical strategies to support neurodivergent students in FilmEU.

This session will explore neurodivergence and its impact on learning and collaboration, focusing on Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia.

Participants will gain insight into shared and unique traits, apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, and develop practical strategies for sensory regulation, collaborative projects, and inclusive group work.

Through a mix of presentations, film-specific case studies, and role play, participants will engage in real-world scenarios to strengthen inclusive studio practices.

The workshop concludes with a Q&A and action planning session to support meaningful change across teaching and learning environments.
